Important Information: With the completion of the implementation of the Casper Suite end users will notice some changes. Software installations from the Mac Installers Server are being removed. To get application installers you are required to run an Appalachian State University Mac OS X installation or the machine(s) must be managed by the Casper Suite Server. End Users will open the the program called "Self Service" from their local applications folder (In a Finder Window: "Applications") and use their Appalachian State University Novell/E-mail username and password to login. Once you have logged in, find the applications you want on your machine and click install. Software available on the Self Service application may require Keyserver Access. Also, software on the Self Service application is for "state" owned machines. Meaning your machine at home can not have software from this Self Service application. If you need software for home use, please contact Technology Support Services.
Note: This Self Service application is for Faculty and Staff only.

January 9, 2007 ---- Important Information ----
Over the past 2 months, ITS has performed several maintenance updates to stabilize the SAN, and prepare for a more permanent solution with respect to the NetApp implementation. During the MLK weekend of January 18-21, ITS Systems will be reengineering the current design and upgrading hardware to a more stable and permanent platform. This work will begin at ~5:00pm on Friday 1/18, and continue until it is completed. We are optimistic this work will be finished sometime on Sunday, 1/20. During this window you can expect some minor impact for all major IT services on campus. This may show up in the form of sporadic and unpredictable outage windows for any, or all, services, but we do not expect a prolonged outage for any specific service. Banner development and Luminus(Applanet) are the most likely candidates for service interruption during the early hours of this window.
